Celebrate the Royal Wedding in Your Own Castle
You, Too, Can Live in a Castle
It seems like everyone is celebrating the nuptials of Prince William and Kate Middleton and tuning into everything British. They include Graham & Brown, which has designed a wallpaper specifically for the occasion.
Called "Crowns and Coronets," it features large-scale dramatic images of black crowns and coronets on a white background. Although the wallpaper is royal-looking in its own right, it can be further glamorized with self-adhesive "jewels" to give the paper more sparkle. The jewels come in an assortment of sizes and colorways that include clear and pink diamond, emerald, sapphire, onyx and topaz.
With a fun yet sophisticated design, the wallpaper is ideal for the bedrooms of little princesses but no doubt will be popular with royal watchers of all ages and in many rooms of the house. The black-and-white motif works well with many colors and patterns, including those most associated with the Union Jack: red, white and royal blue.
The wallpaper and accoutrements are available through Graham & Brown's website or by calling (800) 554-0887. The price for the wallpaper is $70 a roll.
To complement the design, the company also is promoting its "cheerio" collection of interior paints, "The Colours that Made Britain Great." The collection is a palette of 30 high-quality, flat matt-finish colors that reflect the vibrant fusion of British life. Colors in the collection include Princess to Be (a pink shade), Jewel in the Crown (emerald green) and Cool Britannia (a sea-inspired blue). Each paint color perfectly complements the Crowns and Coronets wallpaper design, creating a regal pairing for any room.
