The look of fabric this year is anything but subtle, as Chella's "Octave"
collection demonstrates so well.

Fabric: Bolder, More Colorful Looks

The look of fabric this year is anything but subtle and subdued. According to Chella Textiles, you can expect to see graphic patterns and saturated color.

Also colorful? Chella's "Lateral" collection.

“The market has definitely gone decorative these last few years,” says Chella Textiles designer Scott Bodenner. “That Chella is offering more and more intensely saturated and decorative motifs is a natural outgrowth of that.“

Representing the trend toward graphic patterns is two-color “Octave,” new from Chella Textiles this spring. The white ground is punctuated by a saturated three-color strie. “Graphic patterns can be too simple if all colors are just solid,” says Bodenner. “The strie lends tooth and depth.”

Meanwhile, delicious color characterizes Chella Textiles’ new “Lateral” from the “Polygons Collection,” in a baker’s dozen of mostly intensely saturated colors. As brawny as they are brilliant, each Chella fabric marries logic-defying durability with lushness.
